The elevator in my building is terrifying.
:scared:

It makes horrible noises and bounces around a lot. Sometimes it stops on random floors where no button has been pushed. It must be as old as the building itself which was built in the 60's sometime. I usually take the stairs but the light has been out for a few days and it is pitch dark in there.

3. Just three, which is why I don't have a problem taking the stairs.
But I'm not taking the stairs when I can't see a thing. :P

6. It's great exercise but I suggest a call to the super for light-bulbs.
I'm glad the boogie man hiding in the stairwell didn't jump out and scare you!

8. I reported it once
and I'm sure other people in my building have reported it. They are slow about these things. x(

2. Jeeez... do you have a flashlight?
I think a flaslight in the stairwell would be my solution. A big metal one, just in case.

4. I do have a big metal flashlight.
Maybe I should start carrying it with me until they fix the darn light.

9. I sure couldn't bear that elevator.
Small spaces creep me out enough as it is... and creaky and mystery stops? Um, no. Did you see The Eye? Yeah... oh HAY-ELL no!

I jog up the stairs every morning... well two flights, then I try to catch my breath the last flight. :P Invigorating, isn't it?

10. Where I used to work, one day I noticed the elevator's manufacturer's mark
"Schindler."

I then spent the next five minutes giggling to myself at the idea of Schindler's lifts. :D

16. It was inspected late last year.
Apparently they were fine with it.

The brake was broken on it was broken about a month ago. Supposedly they fixed it, though. :yoiks:

17. I hate elevators...
the dorm I'll (hopefully) be living in next year has the worst elevator. And sixteen possible floors I could be living on. :scared:

18. I'm usually fine with them.
This one just scares the hell out of me. I hope you get the lowest floor possible.

21. I didn't complain about the elevator.
It's good for me to take the stairs anyway. I did bitch about the light being out in the stairwell, though. x(

23. It feels like a safety hazard.
I hold my breath the entire time I'm in it, then when it gets to my floor I run out like I'm being chased.
