These are just two that I've heard when spreading the word that I am leaving my job.

1. Rats

I never understood the "Rats from a sinking ship" line. Even a rat is smart enough to bail out of a sinking ship. Why should that be a bad thing?

2. in my case it's not -- i'm getting "congratulations" and

"i wish i had the nerve"

but this place sucks -- that's why i think it's a fitting metaphor

it's the ship that's bad, not the rats
