Wellbutrin, has anyone else gotten Alzheimer's from taking it?
So far I have:

-Had trouble with words. I can't remember words and my brain reaches for a close relative (like I originally wrote amnesia in the subject line and then realized I meant Alzheimer's), or when I am talking about something and glance at say the trash can, I actually say the word 'trash can' in the middle of the sentence I was just saying, even though it doesn't belong there.

-Walked into a room and then stopped and wondered what I'd gone in there for

-Put the phone in the gardening tools bag

-Forgotten that I started cooking a cheese sandwich and burned it

-Turned on the oven and opened the door (without letting the burners catch first)

All of those were preceded by me thinking of what I was planning to do next, Ie while pouring a can of soup to heat up, I'd think about how after eating it I would put it in the sink...and then actually put it in the sink _before_ I heated and ate it.

I am calling the doc tomorrow to tell her I don't think this med is working out. No fun being as ditzy as I was when preggers if I am not getting a baby for all this trouble. :(

1. Until I developed a tolerance (then adverse reaction) to it,
I'd be hard pressed to agree.

But anything is possible with that shit and we are the paying guinea pigs.

Sock it to these fuckers.

3. She put me on it to counteract the sleepiness from the Prozac, which I do
actually like as it helps with my anxiety attacks and depression.

2. No, but MrG's cousin used it to quit smoking and ended up in a psych
ward. It created a chemical imbalance (yes, Tom, they do exist and can be documented) and he really ( I MEAN REALLY) went off the deep end.

I think it's right that you are calling the doctor, but I find myself doing many of the same type of things you have listed purely because I am trying to do/think too much at once.

4. Well, the fact that I have been talking to myself more (and my mother) and
carrying both sides of the conversations for us had me a little concerned the other day. *l*

5. I know they put him on Celexa and he got better results without the horrid
side effects. You'll be in my thoughts...and...as always...it is great to see you around. :)
