Why doesn't anybody TELL me these things???
So here I was, stuck inside all evening, doing yet another complete Windoze reinstall. Yawn. Gad, the tedium... (It's not just pushing in a cd and sitting back-- it's backing up the old system so the client doesn't lose files, then wiping the hard drive and reformatting, then after the Bill Gates Nightmare is back in place it's time to reinstall and configure all the software...)

So finally I got the chance to go outside for some air, and it was INCREDIBLE out there! Clear as a bell, gigantic glowing orange full moon rising high above the world, and the temperature-- PERFECTION! Not warm, not cold, not humid-- just enough of an autumn breeze to make me wish I were in the park flying a kite! It was more refreshing to me than a tall glass of icy lemonade. I wanted to stay out in it, but the paycheck called, and I finally had to go back inside to the tedium. But now at least I have the memory of the coolness of the fall evening to remember...

Which reminds me. How are all you guys and gals up in the Great Snowbound States doing this evening?

3. I'm in Dallas Texas
Anyone who continues to live north of the snow line deserves what they get. (I was born and raised in northern Indiana and northwestern Ohio...)

2. I woke up last night and it was glowing through the windows so I went
out on the back porch in the 2 degree weather and looked up.
The moon all aglow on the new fallen snow ... didn't hear
reindeer though. :)

Alaska: Southcentral Peninsula: Light snow fall, about eight
or so inches, cold and clear. The moon is large and luminous
and reflects light everywhere on the snow. Lovely to see, makes
you want to stay up and watch the shadows lengthen. If I were
in the country, the northern lights would be beautiful.

Barrow, Alaska: Farthest northern settled city in North America:
Sunlight went away a couple of weeks ago and won't be back until
mid January. All night, all the time.

Thank god for full moons. You can see the polar bears by the
car that way.
