I was on Fight night 3.. now with the playoffs going on it's NBA Live 06.

Solitaire doesn't count...

Okay, maybe it does.

Each 3x3 box has to have the numbers one through nine without being repeated, as well as all the rows and columns. Without being repeated. It's infuriating, but I just can't stop. :D

4. Tetris.
I actually regularly delete it. I'm sick at Tetris. I guess I have abnormally fast hands or something, because I can play a single game of Tetris for an hour plus easily. I also only start it at level ten because otherwise it's too slow for me.

7. Is that online?
I see ads for different poker sites all the time (and they always have tournaments on TV. World Series of Poker is strangely mesmerizing). But I also know people who do "Poker" night once a week. I tried it a couple of times but don't think I have a very good poker face. Jumping up and down when you have a good hand.. that's a bad thing right?

I'd imagine that makes it harder to read people. You can only look at the betting styles and no so much the body language. I suppose you could put on a web cam, but that could get a little too, um.. "casual".

13. Playing online and in person
are like two entirely different games. First online is very, very fast. You have to think fast and figure your odds. And the players are fairly inscrutable. You can make notes about certain players but I have never had that really help. Sometimes you can figure a guy is a jerk because he is constantly going all in, but even a jerk can beat you on the river. And those are the heartbreak beats.

In person, with a nice drink, some wings..great time. I go to the dog track with my son in law and we play poker there. Now THAT is southern culture.

And enjoying the hell out of it...

and then my graphics card went all "funny". Now whenever I install the drivers for the card my system automatically crashes on startup. Tech support and I are getting to know each other really well.

But hopefully someday I'll be able to come back and try to finish it.

Don't know if you play sports games but stay away from MLB 2K6. Freezes up before the 5th inning of every game I played - I started freaking thinking it was the Box, but I looked at some online reviews and it got panned big time for stability issues.

Thank goodness for GameFly!

Which is really disappointing because I really wanted to play some baseball. I think I'm going to get EA's new World Cup game soon, but Oblivion is definitely the class of the system so far. I already can't wait for the expansion!!

I've wanted to play that ever since it came out, but my computer isn't good enough and I don't have money to either buy a new one or an xbox (I'm a grad student, so I probably shouldnt be playing games, anyways).

Instead, pathetically, when The Oblivion came out I installed my old copy of Morrowind GOTY edition. Right now I'm fighting werewolves on solsteim. *sigh* its just not the same.

38. I saved up for a while to buy the Xbox myself.
AND traded in my PS2.

Morrowind had a better storyline, Oblivion has a better game-flow, and of course, looks a lot better. I felt like it was easy to get lost and to sit around trying desperately to find something to do. Oblivion solves all of that quite well. Plus, once you try fast-travel, you'll never go back. All the major cities are accessible right away by fast travel, and every other location becomes available after you visit it once. This puts more focus on REAL gameplay, instead of wandering around nothingness for eternity between quests.

You'll be quite happy once you do play Oblivion.

44. I love Oblivion.......
Finally I have found the game that gave me the good ol' dungeon crawl that I was looking for. It took a little while to get used to the blocking thing, but I really like it now. I also like that the world is so expansive; that you can pick a direction, walk and come across all kinda encounters. The only complaints I have is that there is no multiplayer and that there is no obvious way to take screenshots. The screenshot thing is usually not an issue, but when I was playing it last night, my character bulls-eyed a charging giant rat in its eye, with an arrow from about 20' and I had no way to save it for posterity.

53. A couple, I guess
Jewel Quest and Puzzle Inlay. I've gotten through Puzzle Inlay on all the puzzles except for the 20th one under Elliptical--it's an ice skate that is pissing me off royally.

Jewel Quest I've gotten to the second level, but went back to the beginning for a second runthrough to enjoy it more.

A couple of others, like Letter Linker and Scrabble, but those are just word games mostly, so I can't say they're exactly new.
