Can all car dealers get you a 7 day insurance policy?

I'm having a car fiasco that is thankfully nearing the end--but I may be getting the car tomorrow-- after 5 pm, which is when the insurance office I've been talking to closes.

I'd rather not wait to get the car, and I know it's stupid to put out money for something you're going to have to pay AGAIN... the insurance guy mentioned that, LOL, when mentioning that dealerships give people these 7 day policies.

I did ask my salesguy, but he asked me another question and we got off the topic, and now he's off work. Just curious if anyone had info on that...whether just some dealers do, or what...
