Has anyone ever seen a lizard fight? video
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 05:24 PM by gatorboy
Hi all! This is Mrs Gatorboy.

While at work this past Saturday, I stepped outside to see the most unusual thing:

There were 2 lizards fighting over a female in the windowsill! After a minute I decided to grab a camera and take some pictures. Then I remembered there being a video option and recorded.

They were so into their quarrel that they did not seem to notice me at all.

Here is the video after some editing and musical score for effect:

<embed width="352" height="308" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://vidmg.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v173/meekssandygirl/LizardFight.flv"></embed>

Whatcha think? Crazy isn't it?

The quality of the video is greatly reduced due to the web hosting I use changing all of their uploaded videos into .FLV (flash video) files.

BTW, these 2 were filmed at 10:30 in the morning. By the time I left to go home at 7:00, they were STILL at it! But of course the female was long gone!

14. It's funny you should ask!
It has been awhile since he has worked on anything but right now at this very moment, he IS working on something.

I haven't peeked in on him yet so I'm not sure how much is done, but the subject matter is "oil".

16. Sometime it is 16 hours!
I am a wedding coordintor and with 4+ weddings on a Saturday, it turns into a LONG day!

On another note, here are some still photos of the lizards:

This is before they were fighting down the wall. Notice the lizard in the right corner. It just looks bored with it all!

26. I forgot to PM you.
I'm terribly frustrated, so I'm just gonna dump on ya.

He won't go to NOLA. We are working on him. I've printed out info from various websites, and he's read it all.

Here's what I sent a couple other DUers who asked:

He's being stubborn and onnery about going to a GOOD hospital to be checked. Ya know, in a way, he's trying not to be selfish, but it results in being very selfish--because now one of us has to sit with him around the clock. I don't mind sitting with him...he's my dad. I just want him to GO ON and get the care he needs.

He's still having pressure in his head. His BP is still high. He needs to be seen by someone who knows what to do about his symptoms. I gave him a printed article from the National Institute of Neurological Health and he read it. The part that said that 80% of BIG strokes can be averted after a mini-stroke if the patient seeks proper care seemed to sink in with him.

I've been waiting to update the lounge--the next update I post, I want to be able to say that Dad is in NOLA having tests done.

*********

Today, he saw a local doctor. The local doctor (yes, the one who didn't come to the hospital while Dad was there) would not refer him. Instead, he's having some local "specialists" look at Dad's test images and reports. Dad goes back to this doctor on Wednesday. Why, I don't know, because he's done absolutely nothing for my father, except take him off of one medication and put him on another, and told him to "take aspirin." The medication he's put my father on has nothing to do with what happened to my father--nothing to do with heart problems, blood pressure, or strokes.

I'll be out of town tomorrow. Wednesday, I'm going to the doctor with my father, and I'll demand that he be referred on to NOLA or Jackson.

Thanks for asking. :loveya:

(I haven't updated because I feel like we are in holding pattern now. Dad still needs thoughts and prayers--mostly to get him to a place that will take good care of him.)

30. I'll call you tomorrow afternoon.
I'll be heading home at about 4:00 Central. I'll call you during my commute, if you aren't busy. If you are, I'll leave a message and you can just call me back when you get a moment.

I'm editing and printing out paper proposals tonight. Just took some Excedrin PM and hope I can sleep. I'm so tired...just trying to distract myself from worrying, ya know?

Love ya, T. Thanks for your friendship, advice, and concern.
