Gingerbread houses, mansions. We watch them everytime they're on. I don't know why they keep having the cake diva, I suppose they need someone to look bad.

oh and the cake leveler...
another tip... i usually use 1 1/2 cake mix for one layer... i fill it up more than normal then use the strips and lower temp AND the cake leveler...

and fill in the spaces caused by the two domes together...with icing :)

That is absolutely incredible! You should enter some of those cake competitions on the Food Network! I watch those all the time, and your cake is DEFINITELY competition worthy! I also read the books by Collette Peters, and about Sylvia Weinstock. Your cake is fabulous! Why don't you enter some of those Food Network cake competitions?

reading your later post: what is with the Cake Diva being invited to those competitions anyway? I just saw the Gingerbread Mansion competition, and my goodness, her entry was pitiful. I did feel bad for her, after the judges spoke to each competitor individually; she left the room in tears. But her work is just not on a par with the other competitors.... Have you seen the episode on the Wedding Cakes, where the competitors come from all over, and there's hundreds of entries? I don't know where it's held, but I'll bet you would do very well in that competition!

ps. I don't bake at all, just love to read about it, and dream, 'What if..'
