WalMart HELP
Anyone know local retailers that sell "Dickies" jeans? WalMart is the only one around here that I can think of - but I can't set foot into WalMart.

1. Would you ever STEAL from Wal-Mart?
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 01:49 PM by theorist
Disclaimer: This is merely a rhetorical question meant to be taken as a joke, Mr. Ashcroft.

To actually answer your question, though, I've been to an actual Dickie's outlet in Austin, TX. Other than that I don't know.

7. Hypothetically: YES
But they are nazi's on security there - they'd probably catch me and prosecute! Except one time I bought this big Rubbermaid container and while I was shopping I threw some stuff in there, the checker didn't see the stuff and only charged me for the Rubbermaid. Yes - I did go back and pay the difference, but that was before I found out WalMart was SATAN.

3. The thing is...
It's for my brother, and he needs them right now (don't ask why.) So my Mom told me to try to find someplace else that sells them, if not we have to go to WalMart :(

4. Mervyn's sells them here
You can get them online at mervyns.com. They're part of Dayton Hudson (Target, Marshall Fields).

5. Awesome...
There's a Mervyn's pretty close by. Do you think Target retail stores have them?

11. I haven't seen them at Target, but I haven't looked either.
I saw them at Mervyn's because they were prominently displayed by the entrance.

6. Where Do You Live?
I know they have Dickies at the Hot Topics stores, they are mall stores here in L.A. but I don't know where else.

A lot of times you can find the manufacture's website and they have a feature for looking for a retailer. Does Dickie's have that?

What really galls me about Wallmart are those What A Great Place To Work ads....sheesh why don't they spend the money they spend on those to actually make it a decent place to work? Truly they are evil!

Do you have a Target store? or TJ Maxx? You might give them a call..

9. South Denver
We have Targets, I will call them. Also TJ Maxx pretty close, and I'm going to try Mervyn's. I checked Dickies website, and on the "Retail Locator" - almost all the results are WALMART!

8. Try Good-will or Salvation army.
Thrift stores are good to.

Kudos to you for refusing to step into that filthy Wal-Mart! :yourock:

12. This is my brother...
He has to be "cool" and not shop at Salvation Army. But I'm trying to find another place to go instead of WalMart.

14. See if there is a
"Platos Closet" franchise in your area. AWESOME threads, all used...but they only take cool stuff and they pay a lot more to the former owners than Salvation Army.

I highly recomend them.

10. link to Dickies retail locator
Try a locally owned sporting goods or work clothes store and check out the retail locator at the Dickies site:

13. I did...
Almost all the results are WalMart. The next closest store is a KMart about 30 min. away in a bad neighborhood.

17. Where are you?
In NW AR I think you can get Dickies at Tractor Supply and Race Brothers Farm Supply. If you live near Ft. Worth TX, there used to be a Dickies factory outlet downtown, but I haven't been back to TX in years so I can't say for sure. If you don't live in either of these areas, I'd suggest you try farm supply/hunting supply stores for Dickies.

20. Found at Mervyn's
WalMart has them for $19.99, Mervyn's for $24.99, but this weekend Mervyn's is having a 30% off sale, so they will be cheaper than Wally World!

Thanks for everyone's help...

22. Well...
Turns out they were Dickies Pants at Mervyns, not jeans. So we bombed out at a real store. If he has to have Dickies, he's just gonna have to get them online because I am not going in WalMart anymore!
