I just rented A History of Violence
Will I violently demand my $$ back, or is it worth the $4.50?

1. I liked it although a couple of scenes are disturbing.
Wm. Hurt is excellent.

5. I Think You'll Really Like It
The basic story line is nothing new, but it's done very well. Lots of violence (surprise, surprise), and a couple of notable sex scenes, as well. Ed Harris and William Hurt are standouts as some on-the-edge Bad Guys. Enjoy....

10. Very good film - you'll should be happy
(Although you've made me angry that you can rent for only $4.50 --- over here, Blockbuster charges £3.95 which an online converter says is just under seven dollars.)

11. The former, I'm afraid.. I love Cronenberg, but was VERY disappointed
in this.

Basically, once the details of the protagonists life start to become clear, the movie goes from good to boring/stupid, IMHO.

15. It lacked in depth and character development, but I enjoyed it.
Maybe it just felt good to be out of the office and out of the house that day.
