20. That median temperature (ie. 100 degrees F) before it gets hot is great.
So much better than hot weather.

15. michigan does indeed have sucky weather
much of the year. let's see ... our seasons are, winter, really winter - followed by mud. after mud comes hot & mosquitoes... and construction. next: nearly winter on the heels of winter.

but each season has one or two (and if we are lucky three or fourty-four) perfect days. if you have never experienced michigan on a perfect day then you really just don't know. there is a reason we haven't all moved to florida ;-)

14. Where in Michigan?
The Mrs. and I lived in Marquette in '95. The summer temps would have been murder in Milwaukee, but in the U.P. Lake Superior kept it bright-n-breezy. I love that lake and wished I still lived there.

(I got in trouble asking this once before, I don't know where Michigan IS remember, or anything about it's climate, therefore it might be warm or cold for you and I wouldn't know.)

21. Well, I'm in Minnesota...
which is close enough to Michigan to say 72 in mid-April is quite warm and pleasant.

We've had the same weather here this week and I'm trying to get out and enjoy it before it gets any hotter.

warm. If you had my weather, it's raining and cold today and it is still at least 5 degrees warmer.

33. Michigan is a gorgeous state
And I will gladly take our mercurial weather swings over mudslides, earthquakes, county-sized wildfires, hurricanes, and killer tornadoes any day.

Want great beaches? Got 'em. Want great skiing? Got it. Want jaw-dropping beautiful sunsets and autumn leaves? Come on over. Want rural solitude? We have plenty. A scenic drive atop towering cliffs? Try driving the Pictured Rocks road someday, then drop down and take the tour. Nature's majesty? Check out Isle Royale.

Arts and culture? The DIA, the Fox Theatre, UM's University Musical Society and Museum of Art, the Motown Museum, the Electronic Music Festival, the Detroit International Jazz Festival, it goes on and on.

Professional sports? Nothing more exciting than the Detroit Pistons or the Redwings these days. And how many fans sell out the stadium for a perennially losing pro football team? Only in Michigan.

College sports? Two Big Ten teams 60 miles from each other. Three MAC schools. No shortage of excitement or excellent education for that matter.

Politics? Democratic governor, two Democratic US senators. One of the most liberal cities in the country in Ann Arbor.

Sure we are experiencing some problems now due to the manufacturing based economy and the frenzy of global outsourcing. Still and all, Michigan is a wonderful place. Come visit!
