It's time to 'fess up: your most humiliating secret celebrity crush
I have three (two former and one current), all of whom qualify me for regular and severe punishment because they are THAT bad:

Current
John Stamos (somebody please beat me--preferably, John Stamos)

Former

Geraldo Rivera (yes, I am insane)
Mel Gibson (okay, just lock me up, forever, because I am SICK)

9. I used to be absolutely in love with Gwen Stefani
She's become annoying and absolutely shameless. Please bring back the Gwen of 1997. Please!

There is this one pornstar who I think is hotter than hell. I know, I should not be so lustful and I should adhere to my "love smart girls" thing, but she's downright sexy.

Ok, I used to be a little embarrassed about my crush on Janeane Garofalo. Nobody I knew seemed to like her. My brothers all that she was weird etc. Typical eccentric Hollywood type. See I'm from a farm community in MT, we don't have people like that where I'm from. I always thought she was hot though. Now, however, I wear my love like a badge. That woman rocks!

You know... I've grown to know and love her since she's been on
the radio. I really didn't know much about her until then. Now,
she's definitely a favorite.

It's nice I got to know about her from her activism... I knew
about that first. She's one of the few I can say that about.

Edited on Tue Apr-11-06 03:58 PM by Ramsey
When I was in middle school, he was starring in How the West Was Won. All my girlfriends had pictures of Shaun Cassidy or the Hardy Boys in their lockers. But not me! I had pin-ups of Bruce Boxleitner!

Lo and behold, years later he shows up starring in Babylon 5, which was an awesome show, and my crush was renewed. Plus he has a reputation of being really nice to his fans.

Just kidding.

I was thinking of you the other day when a friend of mine said a co-worker of hers was flying all the way to China to meet some woman near Guilin, China. But, I think I had mentioned that at least one of my cousins had decided she was not coming to the US for grad school for at least the next few years (she has a very well paying job in Shanghai for a US company - probably like $15K per year, which is like making 6 figures here in the US)

Yes its strange, but her deadpan, self-deprecating humor and that sultry voice... I generally don't go for Klingons, or any form of alien really. Oh, and she's a very intelligent and witty writer.

Is there a prize for the most bizarre celebrity crush? Cause I think I win. Because of the alien part, I mean.

129. I generally do go for Klingons.
Or at least Star Trek characters/actors in general. My biggest crushes are probably on Michael Dorn, Patrick Stewart, and Leonard Nimoy, but I've also entertained crushes on Garrett Wang, Scott Bakula, Robert Beltran, and Terry Farrell, among others.

I would be majorly attracted to Avery Brooks if he didn't play a character named Ben. It's my brother's name, and I've never been able to entertain an attraction to a Ben for that reason.

37. My very very first love was Tom Jones
that's SIR Tom Jones to you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Jones_(singer)(still has IT) My mom watched his TV show. I watched too. I was 8. It was my first realization of SEX appeal. Then of course, David Cassidy-I had his poster on my wall. Then there was a short Bobby Sherman phase. NO Donny Osmond. Then erg...no it was not Sylvester Stalone BUT it was ROCKY. I loved that dumb brute-(the muscles may have had much to do with it) Oh yes, another poster on the wall.

Later, I had a THANG for BOTH Simon and Garfunkel. "I love you and that's all I know" is the most romantic song in the galaxy. Paul Simon is short and just against my type. It's inexplicable. But now it's:

Mr. "House" aka Hugh Laurie. Give me that crinkly eye cranky thing. Currently on TV Guide. Funny, he reminds me of my husband.

PS For YEARS, me and my best girl friend, called Mel: "Mr. anytime, anyplace". Then he turned out to be a fanatic. Who knew? (crinkly blue eyes-DAMN!)

But in the long run, I think I turned out a little better than Leif.

80. I racked up quite a few in the 80's.
Let's see:

Christian Slater (before I was old enough to watch Jack Nicholson movies and realize how much he ripped off)

Oliver Reed

Jim Carrey (on "In Living Color" pre-"Ace Ventura". I must have watched "Doing Time on Maple Drive" twenty-plus times.)

Dwight Schultz from the A-Team (still have a thing for balding, neurotic men with cruel first names...)

Vincent Price (he was smokin' in the Ten Commandments)

Those are only the *really* embarrassing ones.
