Any Other DU'ers Who Work Second Shift or Graveyard...by Choice?

My friends and family think I am crazy. I work 4:30 pm to 1 am as a personal preference. I don't get a shift differential for doing it. I have the seniority to work 6am to 2:30 pm if I chose to, but I don't. I love being able to stay up to 5 or 6 in the morning watching movies if I want to. I love being able to go to Kroger's at 2 in the morning and having the place to myself. I love stopping by the all night Omelette Shoppe for a late night meal and not having to deal with large crowds. I have tried working daytime hours in the past but I always come back to this shift. Personally, I even feel a greater camaraderie with my fellow employees on second shift, than I ever did when I work days. I think, I have learned my lesson, I am staying on second shift.

1. My SO works second shift by choice

So I live the second shift schedule- and LOVE it! I felt the same way about going into Marsh in the middle of the night- but our local Marsh isn't open 24/7 anymore, :cry:. Now it closes at midnight. I always preferred night to day. So does my SO.
Our family thinks it's weird too, but, we've both always been "weird".
