Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich - tell me how you make yours
I mean more than just spread the PBJ on bread and eat.

Example:

Peanut-Butter: Must be Skippy's Honey Roasted Creamy
Jelly: I get some sort of Strawberry All-Natural stuff that comes from France
Bread: Pepridge Farm's Multi-grain Carb Counting Bread, just 1 slice (It has like 4 grams of fiber)
Milk: Organic Non-Fat Milk

I actually prefer toasting the bread so that it melts some of the peanut butter. On occasion, if I have honey in the house I might substitute the honey for the jelly

1. OK
Oat nut bread - toasted
all natural, unsalted crunchy peanut butter (yes let it melt a little)
some french strawberry jelly (can't remember the name, has a checkered lid to the jar)
organic fat free milk
YUM

2. If it's for me:
PB: The natural stuff. Ingredients: Peanuts. I forget the brand.
J: I like peach, raspberry, currant -- pretty much anything but grape.
Bread: Two slices whole wheat, toasted.
Milk: Rare. If I do drink it, it's usually 1 or 2%.

If it's for kiddo:
PB: The natural stuff.
J: Strawberry, but sometimes she wants "peanut butter, NO jelly."
Bread: Whole wheat, one slice, cut diagonally.
Milk: Usually fortified soy.

9. I'm not too particular about the cut if I'm doing it for myself
(and neither is kiddo), but it just lines up better when it's one slice, cut along the diagonal.

Glass of Whole Milk, served on a paper towel at 2:00 am with reruns of M*A*S*H on TV.

For desert, a chocolate chip cookie to finish off the milk with.

I usually get Trader Joes brand. I also love their organic apricot jam.

I love Miltons Whole Grain bread-toasted.

This is my breakfast nearly every morning.

19. the only way to make a pbj

Gotta have Skippy, Creamy! (there was no chunky when I was a boy)
Gotta use Welch's Grape Jam (not Jelly).
Gotta use a soft wheat bread.

Pile on enough peanut butter so that your mouth will stick together, then add a big glob of jam. spread it all around, put the two pieces together, eat with a big icy glass of milk.

A couple of Caveats:

Chunky is ok as a substitute, but really it should be used primarily for spreading on toasted english muffins, the peanut butter doesn't slide off as easily.

Marshmallow fluff is also acceptable with peanut butter (mmmmm...),

Alternately, peanut butter can be eaten with just about anything, pretzels are especially good. big pretzel rods dipped right in the jar!!

Worst possible sandwich: (actually did this as a kid), mix up the peanut butter and jam in a bowl until it is nice gross purple and has a consistency of school paste. make a sandwich, force a younger sibling to eat it.

23. Sorry, you need milk!!
I mean, when you have so much freaking peanutbutter on a sandwich that it's clumpy in your mouth and breathing is a near impossiblity - milk is probably the only thing that can help get that stuff down your throat so that you can breath again.

BTW, Peanut Butter is one of the few foods you cannot use the heimlich manuever to unlodge it from someone who is choking on it

24. Grilled
Actually, I don't like PB&J, but on rare occasion I'll make a grilled version.

Smooth peanut butter, preferably a fresh ground variety (most of the commercial brands are too sweet).
Raspberry preserves.
Medium thick white bread slices.
Butter the outside of each slice.
Grill until the peanut butter and jelly are a bit bubbly.

25. PB&J
Peanut butter: Simply Jif creamy (isn't as sweet as regular or reduced fat)
Jam: Smuckers strawberry preserves
Bread: Local white bread whose name escapes me at the moment (but I can see the wrapper in my head; it's orange).

Must be thick or it's not PB&J!

31. All-natural peanut butter, preserves (preferably fig, strawberry or peach)
Multi-grain white bread is my current bread of choice.

Although, today, I made my PBJ with all-natural peanut butter, fig preserves and sunflower seed bread from a local store. :9

33. I've been eating peanut butter and banana
On English muffins toasted. I am currently using Jiffy crunchy because it was on sale a couple months ago. I thought that I was using a full serving of peanut butter, but evidently I am not because I am about 3/4 of the way done with the jar and already have used it 2-3 times the amount of servings it allegedly has. I slice the banana into small pieces onto the muffin after putting the peanut butter on it.
I now eat this most mornings if I remembered to buy bananas and English muffins when I run out.
