Does anyone else just find only buying music on iTunes just weird?
Seriously. I do own an MP3 player and have a bunch of my CDs ripped to it (not enough space to include all of them, so I rotate them basically), but I find it really odd whenever I meet younger kids who don't own any CDs and just have all their music on an iPod. And I also find the idea of actually PAYING for music files to be just odd. I guess that's part of being from the Napster generation. But not having any physicality to your music collection...that just seems wrong to me. I really just can't imagine having my entire music collection as digital computer files, even though it'd save me lots of space in my storage room. See, I'm already whining about the habits of younger kids, and I'm only 22! But who agrees with me? The idea of actually paying for music files, and having your entire collection like that and never any CDs, is just something I can't comprehend.

You can burn the .mp4 files or burn them as a audio CD.

3. I started off with regular CDs
But now that I can download music I generally download songs I want from RealPlayer and burn them to CD. It's cheaper that way, because instead of paying $10-$20 for a CD that might have only 1 song that I like, I can pay just 99 cents per song. Then I mix them how I want on my CDs. The only CDs I buy anymore are ones I know I'm going to like all of the songs on, or "Greatest Hits" compilations.

4. I love my iPod. I have a job that requires listening to music
for up to 8 hours a day and frankly, having seventy or so cds at work is not my idea of fun.

5. You Don't Have To Buy Files to Use An iPod
You can rip your CDs onto your iPod, as well as mp3s that are bought from music providers or obtained from other sources.

I have a lot of music that I have "hard copies" of as well as music that only exists as digital files.

6. I love iTunes & my iPod
I like not wasting money on a CD only to find I like less than 1/2 the songs.
I have previewed whole CDs on iTunes, liked them & then bought the CD locally.

I burn all the music I buy on iTunes to CDs also.
