6. Now THAT is disturbing.

I found out "accidentally", that my new job is based on a "trial period" and after three weeks they will decide if I will continue, or if they will let me go. Since I am not confident, this sort of broke me today. I dropped and disorganized about 200 papers and I had to stay until 5:30 to organize them with two others who were really bitchy about it. I felt so horribly embarrised that i wanted to just leave and never come back. I am just tired of this employment game. They have me so scared, that I am afraid to go into the breakroom for fear that they will judge me on what I am eating...which for me is usually nothing. I have no confidence and I am just worrying myself sick.

I hope, that I can magically meet their approval. I wish I could instantly be the perfect employee and not piss anyone off by commiting the horrific crime of not knowing procedures.

I wish I could have confidence and be perfect.

Your employer is probably looking for somebody who shows up on time and stays late when it's necessary. Everybody makes mistakes especially in the first weeks. Don't worry; you'll be fine!

Know this...you are on the same level as they are...no worse, no better (well, maybe better). Sometimes you have to tell people to knock off the shit. Tell them you have them on a trial period as well, so that works out well for you.
