When Election 2008 comes around, can we discuss results
realtime, or will we have to wait 3 hours for the West Coast to catch up?

2. Well, it's my understanding
that they don't announce a winner in a particular state until the polls close in that state. So I would think real-time wouid be just fine.

7. This is actually a serieus problem
In Canada, all media is subject to a election night blackout until the polls close in a timezone that is being reached.
