3. It's not about math
buying a $1 ticket that has 1:100 shot at winning $50 is bad math

buying a $1 ticket that has a real and finite shot at winning $220M is playing a fantasy game.

That being said, I live in MD, next to DC, so I can indulge my fantasy game on both this week.

4. Better indulging a fantasy worth a buck
than to blow your entire paycheck indulging that fantasy.

I hate the anti-gambling paternalism of some DUers. I was always of the mindset that poor people are adults, too, and are responsible for their own actions, including gambling on powerball.

5. Yeah, driving home thinking about what I'd do with all that money
and smiling is worth the buck, to me. :shrug:
