What Should RR Make for Her Snowbound Food Fest?
I have some boneless chicken breasts, tomatoes, asparagus, mozzarella, basil, jarred pesto (from my trip to Rome), mesclun greens, pasta, and cream.

I have stuff to bake with.

Give me some ideas-I always make Chicken Parm and the same old stuff!

1. Do you have vodka?
You could make a vodka sauce for the pasta and/or chicken.

2. Splat the chicken flat, dredge in flour

ccok it in butter till it's all brown, take it out, throw in some white wine and a little pesto, cook it around a little bit, when it gets right add some cream and stir that around, keep it warm, make a little balsamic vinaigrette, put your basil in it, cut the ends off your asparagus and stand it on its feet tied in a bunch in some water with a tinfoil hat on it till the water has cooked it like you like, then lay it on a plate, slice the tomatoes, put mozzarella on them, put them under the broiler for a few minutes, cook your pasta, put the chicken on top, squeeze lemon on it, pour cream sauce all over that, drizzle vinaigrette on the asparagus, and throw the mesclun greens away, they are too much like a vegetable to be any use.

11. Make a big pan of brownies and eat the whole thing!
That's what I'd do, except it's sunny here and I have no excuse!

12. Throw it all in the cuisinart with a can of Spam...
no...wait...that's for cleaning grout.

OK, sautee the asparagus in a little butter and olive oil with some smashed/minced garlic.

or

Put them on some foil or parchment paper (just one layer of spears deep), dot with butter, sprinkle with a little sugar, wrap them up (one fold) and bake in 350 oven for 10-15 minutes. Deelish.
