Can anybody recommend a good PDA device?
I'm looking to replace my Sony Clie. It's one of the earlier models, with the green backlit screen. The main problem, other than the on/off switch being a piece of crap, is that parts of the screen are starting to fail.

I don't need anything super-mega fancy (mp3 capability, etc.), but removable storage like I have now might be nice. I'd also prefer to stick with the Palm OS.

Thoughts?

1. I use the Tungsten C
It's a bit expensive but it's fantastic! 64 meg of Ram and it uses SD expansion Cards. It comes with Palm OS, High Res screen and built in Wi-Fi.

2. Check out Palm1
devices (formerly Handspring). I used to have a Handspring and adored it.

I will upgrade when I start working again. I want the Treo model that's a phone/PDA

3. I went from a Sony S500C
(crappy 8 bit color) to a Sony T615, with better and BRIGHTER 16 bit color. I still use it but made an incremental upgrade to a T665. That's essentially the same as the T615, but the color is even better, as well as having MP3 capability (I don't use it). I'm still working out a proper division of labor between the two. I'm really happy with either, and will probably wait till 2005 to upgrade. Both models are now out of production, so used/refurbished models are fairly cheap.

For a few bucks more, the Sony SJ & ST models look pretty good. What I really want in a PDA is something that'll fit (w/case) in my shirt pocket. Those will do that nicely. I mention Sony since you probably have one or more Memory Sticks from your present model.
