I got food poisoning last night and have been sick all day.
I don't think I've felt this bad in a long, long time (sinus infections excluded).

1. Oh that's miserable. Have some chicken broth. That always helps me.

3. I sure hope so. This is just yucky.
And the worst part was that it happened after eating at my favorite sushi restaurant. I actually commented during dinner that I thought the quality wasn't as good as usual. And boom. Fast forward a few hours later and I was really suffering. Same with my friend. I called her first thing this morning and she'd been sick all night as well.

14. Sushi.
Which I love. We had yellowtail, tuna, salmon, spicey tuna roll and potstickers.

My guess was the yellowtail. Dunno why!

10. Did the doctor give you anything for it?
I know the one time my next door neighbor had food poisoning she was in the ER all day on an IV drip with meds. That totally sucks.

16. Nope. No visit to the Doc.
My sister is a nurse and she came by to check on me earlier. She says I can't take anything to settle my stomach because my body is trying to flush it out and I need to let it happen. She just said that I need to drink as much water as I can to stay hydrated and get plenty of sleep.

17. Be careful.
I would get a blood test to find out what it is in the least. Just looking at you won't do it. And some food poisoning cases can kill. Please take care of yourself if you think it is food poisoning.

22. If you have insurance I say go to the emergency room
they can get you on IV fluids and give you a shot of something (phenergan?) that will make you feel better immediately.

I've had to do this a few times.

If you can't go then you should get someone to bring you gatorade. You need more than water.

11. I think that technically we are supposed to report the restaurant to the
Health Department. I never have, though (I've gotten it twice).

13. My friend called and reported it to the manager.
I haven't talked with her since, but she was going to call this afternoon.

18. That was nice of you, actually.
They "got a warning," so-to-speak. Hopefully, they will pay more attention, and keep the food fresh.

23. It happened at one of my favorite restaurants.
I take clients there quite often and wanted to give the manager a heads-up. I imagine they are horrified as well.

unless it's this lady who owns the local steakhouse. Word has she doesn't care; the problem is ... her steaks are the best-tasting around!
