Wierdness.
Last night I had a class, and for the first half hour I was just fine. I was working in a small group with a couple (really funny) guys and we were laughing, and all of a sudden, I felt all the blood rush out of my face, and I was really dizzy. I felt like I was going to pass out. It was like that for the next two hours, and I was shaking, too. I'd eaten a good dinner before I left home, and I never ended up getting sick, it was just really odd. I've fainted enough times to know what it feels like when you're about to black out, and I was. I felt like if I shut my eyes, I was going to faint. I wasn't standing up, I uncrossed my legs, got up on break and drank some water, and it didn't help much. We had to get up and do impromptu speeches and I was terrified that I was going to pass out, just from standing in one place. I never did, but it was wierd as hell. I have no idea what was wrong with me. :wtf:

6. In that case I'd say "yeah weird"
But we'd have to establish a norm for that to have any meaning even in a relative sense.

11. This is true.
I'd just say it was wierd in a way that is not typically applicable to the experience of being me.

4. Nothing to slip it into..
I didn't eat or dink anything at class, except when I got up and went to the drinking fountain at break (at which point I was already wigging out.)

7. That's very odd
I'd ask my doctor about it - it sounds very uncomfortable. Glad you're feeling better but I'd get it checked out.

12. What would that have to do with passing out? I never had any
"bathroom" issues. Is there some correlation I'm unaware of?

17. passing out is what happens
it usually starts soon after you eat, it has something to do with blood being diverted to the digestive system. at onset you will feel hot, sweaty and dizzy. If you can get blood to your head you can minimize chance of passing out.

18. I felt cold, clammy, and dizzy.
I kept leaning over and digging in my bag, to get the blood to flow into my head.

16. Your boots were made for walking, -
straight to your local minute clinic for a visit with a doc or a nurse practitioner. Don't let us diagnose what could be a serious issue for your health.

23. Probably a better idea.
I have low-ish blood pressure, so I tend to ignore minor dizziness, but this was well beyond that. I had alot of problems with it when I was pregnant (no, I'm definitely not, now.)

19. Maybe it was a panic attack.
They manifest differently for different people. When I get them I always feel like I'm getting food poisoning and I feel faint.

24. I've never had a panic attack, but I was relaxed. So, I've no idea
if that could be related.

take this as a sign that I should go schedule one.

27. I'm hypoglycemic, and that's exactly what happens to me
If I don't eat a proper balance of good carbs and protein... or eat often enough... or if I eat bad carbs like too much sugar or white flour... start acrrying some Nabs around with you. Seriously.

28. Did you have fish for dinner?
I've had almost exactly the same thing happen to me once - I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke or something - it turned out to be a bacterial infection called scombroid poisoning. You can get it from tuna, mahi mahi, or mackerel - they treated mine with benadryl, almost like an allergic reaction.
