I hit someone today.
Today during afternoon Homeroom at school, there is this kid. He's a big asshole. Always making fun of people, etc. So he's been making fun of me- spreading rumors, etc about me for 3 years. Well, today, he learned he had got a B+ in a class. He was upset, and was complaining about ti. I send maybe it was because he didn't read, which he doesn't. He respond saying that he has a life and is athletic unlike me. That is total BS. He's said this stuff before, along with calling me gay, among other things. So, anyway, I went over to where he was, pushed him and half hit/ half slap him. It wasn't a good shot. Anyway, a teacher saw it and said she would write us up. This is total Bullshit. The kids do this stuff all the, and the one time I do I get in trouble. So I went to the office, before she wrote us yup, and told them my story. So tomorrow, I will get called up- and will must likely get in trouble. I don't know if it will be Detention or ISS or what. I've never gotten in trouble before. So now, I'm really upset, and have been crying ever since. i can't believe it. It sucks so much.

14. Yep.
Plus, you come out ahead. They'll be the losers in life, not you. Kinda hard to see right now, but trust me on this.

4. Eh don't worry about it.
I got in plenty of trouble in school. Neither detention or ISS is all that bad. Saturday detention was pretty fun because they had a cool teacher running it.

What HS? I went to Morris Hills in Rockaway, NJ.

8. Oh wow, you're a young'un
I wasn't a liberal until I hit 15. Things will get better. I HATED middle school. High school was a lot of fun though, especially my junior & senior years.

And eventually, you'll escape the middle-of-nowhere that is Andover.

7. might be worth the punishment
Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 03:18 PM by jukes
since he'll likely be too shamed to pester you again.

next time, though, swallow you're anger & wait till you're in an appropriate place.

a hook to the floating rib cage will take his air, leave no mark or permanent injury, y scare him into stopping his public bullying.

hitting him in public may well cause him to appear to be a martyr, y many bullies will work the system if they lack the courage to face off w/you.

LEARN RESTRAINT. then settle up on YOUR terms.

10. Sorry you're upset - but this will pass
Just explain yourself, listen to what the authority figures tell you, serve whatever punishment they give you and go on.

If you can, ignore the jerk. In ten years you'll be out of college and doing great and he'll be wondering why his football scholarship didn't pan out.

:hi:

Good luck to you.

11. Good for you!
Don't worry about "getting in trouble."
Man, this whole softer school system has you guys too worried about authority, so much so you are scared to stand up for yourselves.
Just remember you have a right to believe in principles, and if one of them is standing up for yourself than fuck them if they don't like it.

BTW....next time you're gonna hit someone.... hit them close fisted on the jaw, if you're gonna get in trouble may as well get your money's worth

15. Jawbones are hard
The asspipe might see some stars, but the aggressor's liable to break some fingers.

Go for the solar plexus. Doesn't hurt your hand and it takes them out for several minutes.

Plus, they might puke.

in general opinion, i agree; but i respectfully submit that the floating ribcage is a larger, softer, y less protected target. it's also easier to address from an angle.

still can make them puke, but more likely phlegm y mucus will be ejected from the mouth y nose; even more humiliating, in my opinion.

also, a VERY short hook; say three inches, will be almost imperceptible to bystanders, but will drop even a much stronger opponent to his knees, y force him to make extremely amusing noises as he tries desperately to refill that lung.

a minor difference in tactics; i find your post to be excellent advise as well!

it is true that refraining from violence will prbly mark you as the better man, but i prefer the instant gratification of watching a bully groveling & knowing that it's only your forbearance that keeps you from taking advantage of his helplessness & giving him the severe drubbing he deserves.

hope the OP finds our discourse useful and practices the restraint we've both advocated!

13. Mean people suck. Now he knows you are not to be bullied.
That being said, try not to resort to violence, it is to be avoided unless absolutely necessary. And don't sweat the detention or in school suspension. You've never been in trouble before. In the grand scheme of things, this is but a teensy ripple, honestly try not to stress about it.

20. You will have to be the judge of the advice given here
but don't sweat getting in trouble.

Don't bother with the "everybody does it only I got caught" just tell your side, say you will try your best not to let it happen again, do your consequence and move on, it's a good lesson.

22. Dang, I'm so sorry.
Please don't cry. Adults can be so deaf sometimes. My little girl got in trouble because a boy stuck his tongue out at her and she did the same back but a teacher saw her and thought she was doing it to her so she got in trouble. I made sure I wrote on the note how the story really went down, because the principal wouldn't listen to her.

Write out what happened and how it's happened before. Maybe he picks on other kids. Is he like the school jock or something? Do the other teachers pet him, as in "he wins games for our school, so you're wrong" kinda thing? Being a kid in school these days is dangerous all around. Here's a big hug and hoping every thing will turn out okay for you.
