I want to order American Gulf Coast Shrimp as a gift for X-mas. Does anyone have a on-line suggestion where I can order with confindence at a reasonable cost?

2. Well, you leave my driveway, drive south 20 miles

to this little shopping center where every weekend a man brings a truckload up from the coast. Giant, extra large shrimp are never more than $6.99 a pound, along with fresh gulf-fish, and (in season) crabs and boiled crawfish. Damn! And that, my friend, is what I like about the south.

Picked up a pound of crab claw meat today ($10.95) and made Crab-Corn Bisque for dinner. It was exceptional!

When I was a kid, we used to go to Gulf Shores and enjoy the annual Shrimp Festival. It was great. These Chattanooga yankees can't do shrimp or any other seafood at all.
