Here's where I spent the weekend...Caney Lake, Louisiana

One of my best friends from high school invited me to spend the weekend on Caney where her Dad and his girlfriend just bought a place...they have a main house...a one bedroom cottage and an awesome boat house with a full bar and sat. TV in it..s'where I decided to sleep..right on the water...we had picture perfect weather and I can't get over how beautiful and peaceful it was.

Her Dad's girlfriend once owned and operated Jack Saben's restaurant in Baton Rouge and any food she touches turns into a gourmet meal...Fri. night we had pork tenderloin smothered in a brown gravy and white beans with spicy sausage...then Sat. they grilled burgers and ribs...and on Sunday we had leftover ribs and fresh fried chicken wings smothered in a spicy sauce and a warm pasta salad with blanched spinach that included crumbled bacon...feta and parmesan cheese..it was to DIE for...with french bread and a banana puddin' for dessert...SIGH...I'm goin' back either this weekend or next to critter sit for her 4 doggies while they go back to Baton Rouge to get the last of another storage building full of her stuff...they're considering buying the marina and opening a bar and restaurant eventually!!

I didn't even want to come home...but had a much needed get away that I'll not soon forget! :)

....I got a call today out of the BLUE for an interview for a receptionist position at a pediatric physical therapy clinic...it's less than a mile from where I sit too which would be just IDEAL...they picked my resume' off careerbuilder.com from last summer...I was FLOORED to say the least...I go interview Thursday afternoon...keep ya fingers crossed for me!! :hi: :hug: :loveya:
