2. It's a mess.
I think the employees are probably correct. It's the only explanation that makes sense. Maybe Microsoft was too technically ambitious with Vista or maybe they did not plan appropriately. Either way, management is at fault.

4. What can they do about it?
The MS employees have no power to depose Ballmer. If MS shareholders called to oust him, that might be different.

LOL. If disgruntled employees could remove top management, nobody would be in that job very long at any company!

5. They would, if they played nice with the employees.
What a concept! Somebody should try that with countries some time.

6. Not entirely true.
If disgruntled employees could remove top management, nobody would be in that job very long at any company!

Employees are far more likely to bitch and moan about bosses when they can't do anything about it - where they are given powers, they tend to behave responsibly and analyse situations before calling for them to go. Case in point - the John Lewis Partnership; a business model which has not received anything like the study it should have.

10. MS employees do own a fair share of MS stock, too
many employees were compensated with options and stock in the past. Unfortunately, it's probably not enough to have much say about the officers.

12. Certainly not enough
Compensating employees with stock and options is a management decision. You think management would give employees enough of the company to give them a say in how it's run? That would be communism!

8. I wish the American people could oust our "CEO".
That would rule. Of course, I'd go for this MS fight, too, because MS bugs me.

9. Bush first, though
I mean, Microsoft is evil and all, but at least they aren't starting wars yet. :)
