Male Cast Member Stops 'Friends' Reunion Show
By refusing to take part...

http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=15067

Former star of ‘Friends’, Lisa Kudrow has revealed that a reunion show was on the cards until one former cast member refused to take part.

It seems that one male cast member refused a multi million dollar deal to star in the one off TV show.

According to Handbag.com, rumours about a possible reunion started circulating after Kathleen Turner said publicly that she had been approached about reprising her role as Chandler Bing’s tranny father.

Her claims were later refuted by NBC, but now that Kudrow has revealed that a show was plannedthe TV network may have to rethink their stance on the reunion show. Kudrow said: "There is an opportunity for the rest of us to do a reunion show but one member has said no. "It's one of the guys. I'm gutted."

1. What more could we possibly get from them?
Four of the six are married, to EACH OTHER...

I don't understand the popularity of that show, I really don't. I don't understand the popularity of any of the actors on that show, either.

Total :wtf: here.

3. My MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR plot idea...
Ross and Rachel decide to go to the Renaissance Faire, dressed as wacky Medieval fictional characters.

However, they decide to NOT take baby Emma, and leave her in Joey's care.

Five minutes after Ross and Rachel leave, baby Emma fills the room with the odor of "soiled diaper."

Joey, having no experience in this area, attempts to change the diaper.

CHAOS ensues!

90 minutes later, Ross and Rachel come home and Emma is in a clean diaper, and no one is the wiser.

I'm guessing MY plot line is about a ZILLION times BETTER than the one that would have made it on the air.

:toast:

4. popular for its spot-on portrayal of New York life
y'know... people with barely-above minimum wage-paying jobs living in HUUUUUUGE apartments, no non-white people, etc.

14. Monica Lived in Greenwich Village in Manhattan
Her apartment would rent for $12,000 a month. Also, her grandmother could not legally pass the apartment onto her.

2. My guess?
Matthew Perry. He's already shooting Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip...why would he give a crap about a reunion show?

The other guys? Unemployed. ;)

5. That was my immediate response.
Schwimmer would LOVE another million dollar paycheck.

LeBlanc whined like a little baby when he learned he wouldn't get a million per episode for "Joey," and guess what? NO MORE JOEY!

It HAD to have been Perry.

6. "Joey" was cancelled because it SUCKED.
And not just in the ratings. I've never seen a show that terrible before or since.

16. you forgot about "COP ROCK"
nothing could be worse than bad actors doing a musical about crimefighting-- unless they did it EVERY WEEK. :puke:

7. Huh. I would've figured Jennifer Aniston.
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 10:18 PM by Bella Pisces
But, of the guys, my guess would be David Schwimmer. Based on those exit interviews they all did, he seemed like the one who really wanted to distance himself from his character. From what I've read, he's happy working on indie films and his theater group.

I really shouldn't care about this.

8. I would have guessed Aniston too
frankly, I'm really surprised she agreed.

Meanwhile, if there really was only one holdout, I really think it would be Perry, simply because he just started filming a new show last week. It's already been picked up for 13 episodes, and he's getting paid a ton.

9. Yep.
S60 is supposed to be the crown jewel of NBC's fall lineup. Perry doesn't need Friends anymore.

10. I actually think the hold-out was Schwimmer.
I've heard that he's gotten really snotty about how "over" the series (and his role in it) he is. Which is a little weird to me because a) he's still playing Ross in everything he does, including his attempts at stand-up and b) everyone I know thinks he was the best performer in that cast. One person even went so far as to say that he "carried a hell of a lot of 'Friends' (to which I say whatever, but to each her own)."

13. I agree
He's been doing a lot of theater - he's done Williamstown and things like that. I think he wants to develop more credibility and this wouldn't help. I always felt like he was the one who took himself overly seriously.
