Dad's hip replacement surgery was successful
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 09:27 AM by Lurking_Argyle
the surgeon who did it 3 wks ago is the student and successor of the pioneering surgeon who did it 10 years ago. Mom is still recovering from bronchitis, the steroid dosage slows her down.

I visited the nursing home this past weekend, groggy from the pain-killer drugs. He thought I was my younger brother. (must be the haircut :P) Sad to see him lying down and looking...sick. He'll be there for a while. No way mom can look after him.

Take care of yourself while you're young, strong, and fit because being old and sick sucks. :(

I ran 4 miles yesterday.
