Just finished watching "The Joy Luck Club"

This movie kills me every time. I think this is more hankies than any movie I have seen.

1. I read the book first.
Sometimes the movie really screws it up but I thought it was a pretty accurate portrayal.

7. I cried in that scene, too!
I think the one that made me tear up the most was the "Meme" (sister) scene at the end.

That was a good movie.

They need to make more movies of her books.

4. Great movie -- soooo mad it wasn't nominated for Best Picture
The cast is also spectacular. Great adapted script.

I remember reading that it technically made more money than any other movie that year -- when you compare the costs versus sales.

I use to make fun of my Mom with this. It makes her laugh. (because it so wasn't true).
