Divorce Fallout: I have to say goodbye once again
This time to 2 objects I've owned and loved for years.

My pair of 1958 Oldsmobile Super 88's, one hardtop and one wagon...

I sold them both to a guy from Norway, and a man from Michigan is picking them up tonight. Just another set of objects fallen victim to broken love...

Sigh.

4. Ah, that sucks
It's hard to part with stuff like that. But OTOH, it's just stuff. You can always get more.

Best of luck to you.

12. The Heywood Wakefield gets split evenly...
I get the bedroom set, she gets the dining room set, I get the Ashcraft livingroom set, she gets the desk and living room tables.

I love HW Furniture!

Some of the money from the sale of the cars goes for my new laptop. The rest pays bills.

YOu scared me! I thought we were losing YOU.....

And that would be too much!

I am sorry about the cars, but they are things, after all....

THEY can be replaced, sort of....

You, on the other hand, are irreplacable.......:loveya:

11. Man, those are great-looking cars.
I hope the new owner treats them with the love and respect they are due.

They truly don't build them like that anymore.

14. Those are fine, fine cars!
Too bad that you had to give them up. But . . . maybe becoming a minimalist is a good thing? I think we all have too much stuff. Only possessions . . . hold on to what is really important!

19. Is the check for over the amount that you were asking for the car?
This is important. Are you supposed to give his friend some money back?

funny how life can work like that

My ex got all the kitchen stuff, which is okay because I can't really cook in the kitchen in my new place. On the plus side, I got the cats and got to keep all my musical gear.

It really does all work out in the end
