1. I am! My daughter and I started last week. We are Battlestar fans
and it is done til October. I am glad they are doing the Doctor. It will help us cope. There is supposed to be another new series soon.....The Dresden Files.....about a Chicago Wizard's adventures. It is produced by Nicholas Cage and, hopefully, will be entertaining. The books are.

We enjoyed the new Doctor and were very comfortable with it from the beginning. My favorite was Tom Baker but the whole series is great. We're going to watch McLaughlin so we'll see Doctor Who at 11:00 here.

2. Series 2 in the UK starts in April... Tonight's ep in the US is EXCELLENT
I hope sci-fi buys series 2 for transmission... between July and October is 3 months... plenty of time for a second series to be shown...

3. I hope Sci-Fi buys the classic episodes
if the ratings are high enough for series 1 I'm sure they will go for series 2.

But I really miss the classic Doctors.

They did run them years ago.

They stopped running them about 3 months after I got SF Channel.

Then BBC America had them for a while but they ran the same year and half worth of Baker episodes into the ground.

My understanding is they are very expensive which is why most PBS stations dont run them anymore. Caught an episode on a PBS station in Ohio back in 2000 and that was about the last time I saw one that way.

I have some of the DVDs including the Key to Time season. But they aren't cheap and finances no longer allow for buying everything I love. :-)

5. New fan here
I've watched the first two episodes of this new Dr Who and I'm hooked.

It never quiet hooked me as a kid (when I think of Dr Who I think of the 4th Doctor played by Tom Baker).

I'm dreading the upcoming change from Christopher Eccleston to David Tennant in the second season.

7. They are also rerunning the second ep at 7:00 CST
In case you missed and also so you won't turn over at 7:58, see the closing credits and scream. :-)

So far I like it. Eccleston is a great actor and was a good choice for the part.

Myself I would have picked Richard E. Grant and still hope he may do the role again (he did it for comic relief) some day.
