My 7-year-old nephew is running around his living room, screaming "Down with PUKE!" I'm proud of his college basketball education.

3. See, you have that all wrong.
My favorite team is whoever is playing Duke. My second favorite team is whoever is playing KU. But I've got UConn to win this thing.

Well, I've been a UConn fan for years. I'm a Los Angeles newbie and UCLA's my newly adopted home team. But I do get a dang lot of happiness out of watching Duke lose...and I don't particularly care who does it! I'm also with you on whoever's playing KU. I hate those bastards.

6. My greatuncle used to teach at UCLA
so I tend to root for them. And UConn has been a solid team for a while now. I just hate Duke. I really think it stems from the Laettner hype and his "best college ball player ever/only college Dream Teamer" crap. I live in Missouri now. Every time I see Jayhawk crap I want to rip it up. But I hate Mizzou too. I'm from WI so I tend to root for them. I really see UConn taking it but George Mason has me excited for the game right now.

Funny story...aforementioned nephew's name is Christian. We gave my sister all kinds of shit about naming her kid after him. She hadn't even made the connection, was horrified, and nearly changed his name. Thankfully our anti-Duke brainwashing has outweighed the name connection. ;)

9. My ex hinted at the name Christian for a boy.
I threw a fit because of Laettner. I'm so happy that I had a girl instead.

In fact, I wasn't watching the game- not feeling well- my mom called me to tell me that Dook lost, and all of a sudden, I felt a whole lot better! Go Heels! (Nest year!)
