numbers or URLs, although I'm certain some smart ass will mention it.

For me, it's garbanzo beans. I can whip up a curry with them that even makes my Indian husband happy.

What's the essential staple in your kitchen?

6. eggs, potatoes, or pasta.
I try to keep frozen veggies too.

8. Chicken
Or pasta, or rice.

If I had to just go with one, I think it would probably be the rice.

I've been using more of all three ever since the beef scare started. I think I'm gonna swear off beef permanently.

12. make sure you include an extra bottle of water, a pot, and a way to cook!
we'll be the best fed in town! I'm thinking I should add some dried roasted tomatoes to the pasta for flavor, some garlic and basil, it would be like a restaurant meal!

(that is actually what my husband takes with him camping as a meal, the other boys are pissed when they pull out their MRE's and boil in bag oatmeal for dinner!)

I used to make my own "camping mixes" of pasta, spices and dehydrated veggies; that and a small can of tomato sauce was high living!
