Anyone know anything about those Sattelite Dishes that get intl programs?

YOu have to program the sattelite yourself...but where would I get one?

How much do they cost?

And can you get local programming from other parts of the US?

1. I would love to be able to program satellites myself.

Screw up their orbits, make them crash into one another, make them spell out "Fuck GWB" and put it into geosynchronous orbit over DC.

2. The ones I've heard of are pay services tacked on to DirectTV or Dish

They're there all along, but you have to pay to get them decoded.

It would be great, however, to bring in foreign stations just on one's own.

(This is all moot for me, since I live in an apt. bldg. that doesn't allow satellite dishes).

3. My next-door neighbor was Russian.

She received a few Russian stations, but she had to have a separate satellite dish along with the one to receive the U.S. stations. Contact DishNetwork.
