3. Goddamn adults. Every time we go out for dinner, someone has taken
a few of them out to eat at the same place we go to.

Don't they have ANY respect for our desire for a nice quiet dinner?

11. I've had that happen
One time I was eating out and was surrounded by boors on cell phones. One woman was in the booth behind me (with two other people) and yammering loudly on her cell the entire time. Then there was a guy kitty corner to me who made and took numerous calls while his wife/GF and kids ate with him. Then the guy two tables down also had to use his phone for several minutes during his meal.

I just don't get it. If my phone happens to ring while I'm eating out I let my voice mail get it. That's what VM is for after all. If the call is so urgent that I just have to take it (extremely rare) I excuse myself and go to the vestibule to talk. There is no need for people to be yammering loudly on their phones to the point that they are disrupting other diners (to say nothing of ignoring the people they are ostensibly eating out with).
