GD quandary: What's worse? Getting flamed or ignored?

Y'know, a guy takes off the fool's bells to post a serious, halfway thoughtful post in GD and ... nothing.

I think most would rather come back to the Lounge with singed underwear and no eyebrows than -->

I've posted a few times in the last few days, but not much has come from it. Lucky for me, there's games to play while I still enjoy DU.

6. I'm with you on this one

It is rare for me to get a reply. That's usually ok, it means I didn't piss off anyone. When I get flamed, and that DOES happen, I know I've stepped over the line and it's time to reflect on what I said and how I said it. DU is a good laboratory for me, where I can practice and improve my social skills without financial impact (read pissing people off at work).

4. I found that if you want responses, post flamebait...

If you post a thoughtful post, you'll get some responses sometimes, but at least 90% of the time, its a freakin' yes committee and when others do disagree they post BS that makes them look stupid.

8. I suppose being ignored is worse. It's hard to say, they both suck.

but they both give us the opportunity to NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY.

Because if you're going to put up your dukes, the least you expect is that someone will throw a punch. Well, that's actually the way I feel about GD Politics.:P GD sometimes is more like lounge lite.

because I get ignored a lot myself and there is nothing in the world like feeling no body loves you. :cry:

At least with getting flamed, you are eliciting a reaction of some kind, even if it's not exactly the one you wanted.
