If we all know we're going to die, why do we take things seriously at all?
What's the point of daily stressors and eating right if we might snuff it tomorrow?

1. Because we don't know when that day will come.
So we try and make the best of it while we're here.

2. Well, toad..
you don't want to get where I am, hitting 60, with the body my eating habits have given me. It probably won't hold out a lot longer. So you need to take care of yourself just in case you survive.

4. I want to go out with a bang!
That means, the less frequently I get oingie-boingie with someone, the less the chance I die!

5. those are caused by attachment and desire
we hold things so "seriously" as an attempt at permenance. We want everything to remain perfect, to avoid suffering, to hold on to joy.

6. The ephemeral nature of our lives, itself, makes being alive a gift.
and our bodies are the temples for our souls, so we might as well take care of them in the time that we've got.

10. Mine isn't a temple. It's a playground.
And one day I have to make that "now open!" neon sign glow a bit brighter... :D

11. That's why I hang out here in the Lounge.
With * in the White House I need some people around me who can see the lighter side of things.
Thanks to all DUers for keeping me at least a little sane. :hi:
