6 DAYS AND STILL NOT SMOKING!!!
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 10:18 PM by Katherine Brengle
I am officially at the end of my first week as a non-smoker. I went out tonight and bought my second box of patches, and it's definitely getting easier every day.

Just wanted to share :).

OH--and today officially markes 3 WEEKS until my husband comes home from Iraq!!!

2. Congratulations on all counts ...
The smoking thing can be whipped.
My wife quit cold turkey six months ago without any patches etc.
And that was after 43 (!) years of smoking. She's much better for it. Stick with it.

...O...

3. Congrats on both counts!
I'm trying to quit myself, but it's hard, as you know.

Say hi to hubby for me! :hi:

4. WTG, woman!
That is awesome! Does your husband smoke? I know it can be tough when you have a spouse who smokes.

6. He has to quit for work when he gets home, so I figured I would...
get a head start so I can be more supportive when he gets back. :)

7. Congratulations Katherine!
That's fantastic news. You should be so proud. Do you feel healthier already?

I'm marking three weeks on my calendar. I am sure you shiver just thinking about having him home. Hoorah!

congratulations - and considering the scare you had earlier this week, you are quite a strong woman and your achievement is monumental!

17. Yay on both counts!
Good for you! Hooray!

And glad he's coming home - I had three brothers in Iraq for most of the last three years, and now they're all finally home and out of the Air Force, Marines and Army (respectively.) I can only imagine how much harder it must be to be a spouse, not an adult sibling.
