The story of the pituitary
The pituitary gland is sometimes called the "master" gland of the endocrine system, because it controls the functions of the other endocrine glands. The pituitary gland is no larger than a pea, and is located at the base of the brain. The gland is attached to the hypothalumus (a part of the brain that affects the pituitary gland) by nerve fibers. The pituitary gland itself consists of three sections.

Also called the third eye.

1. I'm a little too familiar with it
I have a condition known as Emtpy Cella Syndrome, which has more than likely caused a number of other physio-chemical conditions in my body, including a low testosterone level and major depressive disorder.

Who'd think a little gland could do so much?

2. Sorry to hear that nnns.
I think it also has something to do with panic attacks. I could be wrong on that.

5. I wouldn't be suprised if it did
the pituitary gland regulates almost everything-- including neurochemicals. Panic attacks would fall in that category, definitely.

Thankfully I'm on a bunch drugs and treaments for the empty cella stuff. Testosterone replacement, a couple mood drugs, and vitamin supplements. Seems to do the trick for the most part.
