So I DID pay my hydro (electric) bill

I'd been out for the evening and was reading my mail on DU and MySpace when *poof* the power goes out.

My first thought was, "I'm pretty sure I paid that bill." But it only comes every two months and I'm somewhat disorganized in the mail department. As I went hunting for my flashlight (which as it turned out I had not put away after the last use) I noticed lights in the hallway - had me worried. Upon further investigation, the lights in the hallway were the emergency ones. My whole street was dark.

It was awful. I can't believe how much I missed having access to the Internet. I missed it more than the lights.
