Good Friday Morning, Crew!
:donut::hi:
Here we are at the end of another work week! :bounce: I hope it was a good one for you and you have plans for a lot of fun and relaxation this weekend! I have to work tomorrow, but I'm off on Sunday, the same day Greekspeak returns from spring break! :woohoo:

I made an appointment for Tony to go to the groomers this morning for his very first clipping! I'm excited to get it done, and no, I'm not going to have them do the ass puffs or leg puffs or any other puffs. I think just a close clipping will do just fine. Something like this:

Don't you think this is better than all the little puff balls all over him?

Well, let's get this day started, my crew! Grab some coffee or some tea, have a seat and "sit a spell" as my Grandmother used to say.

Song Of The Day: "Return To Innocence" by Enigma

4. Morning, Miss Joan!

Good to see you today! I just think those little puff balls look silly. Tony isn't going to be entered into any dog shows so I don't think he really needs them. Are you feeling better today, my dear?

11. I am in a better mood today.
There are a few unsettling things going on in my life. It just became a lil overwhelming yesterday. I may go through some more difficult times this year but I really do believe it'll all work itself out in time.

The puff balls are silly on all but the smaller dogs. The standard is far too regal to be groomed in such a manner. Tony is a handsome guy.

13. I just think they look stupid.
I'm going to take a few pictures of him when he gets home and post them! I think Greekspeak took the digital camera so I may have to wait until Sunday or Monday, but you'll get to see what he looks like after the grooming!

I'm glad you're feeling better today. And you're right...things will work themselves out in time. I'm sorry you're having to go through it all now, though. :loveya:

45. Stupid, silly or ridiculous ~ what ever. You've made the right choice.
I'd love to see the pictures whenever you can post them. :bounce::bounce: I know you're happy about Greekspeak's homecoming!

I'll share with you part of the things that have kept me unsettled recently ~ Everything I owned was packed and ready to ship to Florida twelve years ago. I had a plane ticket in my hand and interviews set up for a new job with the company I was already working for. I had was a star with them so moving south was a sure thing in my life. Or that's what I thought until an 18 pound box falling onto the back of my neck ended any chance of me returning to work. So my happy birthday phone call on Sunday will be bringing me back home again. While I never lived in Florida, I was there a dozen times a year on fishing trip vacations with my father and my first stepmother. Those were happy memories so I always have a very difficult time leaving Florida.

You haven't upset me. My lifestyle as it is will allow me to travel south as often as I want within reason. It just takes a little tweaking in the way I look at things to grasp the entire picture. That's all.

I'm trying to move Va. one week earlier to give us more leeway with our travel time.
This will take a little more planning rather soon if there is going to be a September meet-up.

7. And for God's sake...whatever you do...don't dye him blue!!
Back in the forties I guess it was all the rage to dye these poor puppies! I think Tony will look very handsome with his trim. Jessie needs to get 'brushed out' today...which is always a chore considering her fur length and abundance. We usually have a pool to guess what Mama will find in her fur this time.

I hope all is well with you. Clintmax, as always, you are terrific. :loveya:

It would be enough to take you from here to Scotland and back again. It would even get you pretty much into Italy.

I'm sure I'd see much less of my sisters if they lived that far away, I know I'm very lucky to have them close-by.

I can remember going up to university which was about 500 miles away - that was a hideous trek each time. I'd only go by car at the beginning and end of the year (with my father driving all of my stuff), coming down by train for Christmas which is far more relaxing

Tony definitely would look better without the puffs all over him.

I haven't lost mine. It's nice and small and I just put it in my pocket(s). Many times I forget it's there. I don't know if I'd want to keep the same phone number if it was lost. Do you think that's safe? Will your phone company be able to retrieve your phone numbers? There's numbers I have in my phone only. Maybe I should get a hard copy of all my numbers as a precaution.

And how are you this fine morning?

I for one am glad it's Friday and am feeling a little more chipper than yesterday. I've got a luncheon gig so I don't have to pack a lunch this morning. See, it's those little changes that keep life interesting.

As far as the weekend, will be watching basketball. The rest of the weekend I just plan on doing some reading and just relaxing.

I suspect that you can't wait until Sunday!

Oh yes, and please post photos of Tony with his new "do".

98. Thanks.
But now I'm torn -- I would feel better if a job came along before we sold the house, so we don't have extra stress of knowing we have to move without a job to go to. Aaaarrrggghhh!

We did find a new builder and this one is very nice. It's run by a sister and brother, and she answers the phones, etc., while he builds the houses. They can't start for 6 months, but at least we can get on their calendar. She told us that some red flags went up for her when we told her about the other builder, the one who dumped us. And she is willing to work with us on the healthy house plans, so I can have a house that I won't get sick in. I guess we should count that all as a positive, even though we won't be in our house by Christmas.

I don't read very much. I have reading comprehension problems with my illness and it's hard for me to follow a book. But the one I'm reading is sticking in my head pretty well.
