I hate unprofessional people.
My new job is not looking better than the old one. Ugh. I work at this firm with this um...strange woman who just doesn't seem to be "all there". She claims that when she gets a creative idea, she goes out of her body and keeps on talking about how the "vibes of the office are off". She also brings up how current and former employees are "incompitent and stupid" and I know she will talk behind my back...Yesterday afternoon, I became very ill and I stayed late thinking that it was just allergies. It is now the full blown flu. I have a 102 fever and my face is swollen. I also can't speak because my throat is so sore.

I just find her terribly unprofessional. Talking trash about current and former employees is just unforgivable to me. I don't give a fuck if it is true. It is just something that isn't done. She then rants about the fact that no one stays at the firm for more than a few months. I wanted to say. "Well, I wonder why, Sue". I am quickly realizing why. She also likes to talk about her sex life, or lack of it with her husband. I don't know him, but I am starting to take his side.

I am going to work tomorrow even if I am sick. I have to. I don't want to hear about her ranting and raving behind my back.

I am sick of working for lunatics.

1. It's the worst.

I hope you feel better soon, and I'm sorry you have to deal with that kind of junk at work.

Also, feel free to vent in my (patent pending) "Idiots arrrrrgh!" thread. That's what it's for. :hi:

2. Maybe you'll give her your 'flu.
Might shut her up for a while, at least. Or maybe she'll stay home sick.

7. Go cough on her keyboard
make sure she's not there, first.

3. You should contact H.R.
Let them know, you shouldn't have to put up with that crap.

4. I'm sorry. That sounds kinda like my last job.
The person I worked directly with feigned professionality in front of the boss, and worked hard to gossip about, defame, undermine and otherwise screw over her coworkers and subordinates behind their backs.

5. I've worked for a number of crazy people
and I've worked with a few others. Unfortunately, when you work for a small company that is usually nothing you can do about it except leave.

The last of the crazy people just quick from this place about 6 months ago, and we've been celebrating ever since.

Hang in there. Do what you have to do.

6. Oh God I HATE that. TMI! There's one girl at my work place that
I have to physically get away from so I can stay sane. Not only does she have a lot of detailed hard-luck stories: and trust me, most she brings on herself by being irresponsible. But secondly feels compelled to provide anyone who'll listen with details of her sex life. She came into my office a few days ago and described in detail what her stomach-flu was doing to her.

Speaking of which: Guess why I'm at home RIGHT NOW and not at work.

I feel for ya. :pals:
