Need a Potter favor...
Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 09:44 AM by Orrex
A good friend in my office purchased the new Harry Potter DVD but won't get to watch it until Friday. She owns and has read the book, so she knows the story. I'm not a devotee of the series, but I thought it would be fun to give her a made-up "spoiler" about the film, so I need input from Potter fans.

Give me your suggestion for a bogus spoiler that sounds real but isn't. Preferably, make it something that might conceivably have been changed in adapting the book to film.

on edit: preferably NOT a Brokeback Mountain joke

Thanks for your contributions!

3. Hmmmm - something about Cedric maybe?
he dies at the end of the film (and the book) - maybe they didnt want to scare moviegoers and decided to let him live?

12. That's the one
Cedric doesn't die, he lives, because they decided that killing him would be too scary.

13. Thanks! Good suggestion!
I know very little about the actual storyline, so my input will seem more credible because I don't know enough to lie about it.

7. Or... how about this one about Mrs. Weasley:
We find out MRS. WEASLEY is actually a Death Eater, and has been a "mole" for years! That's a good one, esp. since Mrs. Weasley is a mother figure to Harry.

10. Try this:
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing. He concludes by saying:

"Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed in conflict in Iraq"

"OH NO!" the President exclaims, ashen faced, "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at his display of emotion, nervously watching as

Bush sits, head in hands. Finally the President looks up and asks,

"How many is a brazillion? More than a million right?"

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing. He concludes by saying:

"Yesterday, 3 Brazilians were killed in Iraq"

"I think that there are two "L's" in Brazillians," notes the President.

"No," says Rumsfeld. "You're thinking of Llama."

"Well Hello, Dalai," sez the Prez.
