3. Delegate (alternate) to County Convention

Caucus attender, never have missed a vote since coming back to IA in 1974, ran for State Rep, Wife is long-time Dem Party county secretary. Candidates know they have to work with us (or at least with my wife) for effective local Dem party support and getting out the vote.

I am also going more left and am trying to restart the Iowa Students for a Democratic Society for which I would serve as a senior advisor.

My grandparents voted for FDR all four times.

I write to my M.P. occasionally, I was formerly very active campaigning (knocked on a good few of thousand doors in my time) and was on my party constituency executive.

Can you "absentee" vote, or do you have to show up at the polls on your election day?

19. Attended my first caucus last night

and it was a doozy -- Casey vs. Pennacchio, plus a bunch of Lieutenant Governor intrigue, and local races.

There never even used to BE much of a Democratic Party in our area, and now it's pretty damned competitive!
