A Question for all you "Ms. Pac Man" fans...
... some son of a bitch at my local college beat my Ms. Pac Man high score the other day... he got a 129,000 (approximately)... I almost beat it... I got approx. 128,000...

Questions:

1. What is the highest score you have ever gotten?

2. What is the highest score you have ever seen ANYONE get?

3. Do you have any tips or tricks to take my game to the next level? I've only gotten 128,000 points and have only gotten as far as the 18th or 19th board... I have heard the the boards go well past 200...

4. Is it true that the mazes are invisible once you get extremely far in the game?

Peace,

1. I prefer the fast Ms. Pac-Man. Slow versions suck. What's up with that?
Sorry I can't help with your question. But I've wanted to vent about the slow- vs. fast-Ms. Pac-Mac arcade versions for 20 yrs. Thanks for that opportunity. ;-)

2. By the way...
... if you ever are in San Antonio, TX (I used to live there), stop by a Laundrymat near the corner of Culebra and Wurzback if you want to play the VERY rare Ms. Pac Man Plus... the last time I was there was 3-5 years ago... Ms. Pac Man Plus is basically the same game but with different mazes... and the fruit flows around the maze and throught the walls(!)... not really as good as the regular Ms. Pac Man, but you will have the distinction of telling people that you have actually played Ms. Pac Man Plus and not just heard about it...

5. And you could see the bugs in that version too...
When going through the zigwag area, halfway up, there'd be distortion... but it was more challenging. Ms Pacman on dope. :D

3. I can answer #4, but I will copy the Wiki article, for I cannot lie.
I am not that great at my writing, but this really explains it. Yes, the walls go invisible, but it's not a good thing. In fact, it's the end of the game in a way.

"Like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man suffers from a bug in the fruit-drawing routine, which renders the 256th board unplayable. While it may be possible to reach the 256th board using the "rack test" cheat available as a DIP switch (usable through MAME or other arcade emulator), the actual arcade hardware will crash around the 143rd board. At this point in the game, the data tables used to determine the maze and ghost behavior for a particular level are exhausted and invalid data is loaded. Eventually, a corrupt value is loaded into the pointer to the maze data, and the game becomes unplayable. There is a black screen and the only things available on the 143rd level are the ghosts and Ms. Pac-Man. In a sense that is the final maze but you can't beat it. So once you beat the 142nd stage then you have beaten this game."

Enjoy!
