*cry* Samurai Champloo is over.
I rarely watch TV, and it's really rare that I'm watching TV at the time Samurai Champloo is on. Still, when I did catch it, I really liked it, and now it's gone!

Ah well. If I happen to be watching TV at that time, at least now I don't have to flip back and forth between it and Countdown.

5. That's good to know.
I have to say I was a little disappointed. Yeah, they resolved the biggest plot threads, but there was an awful lot they left dangling. Ah well, we can always hope for future OVA episodes.

9. What little I saw was seriously creepy and disturbing.
I rather imagine horror/gore fans would love that show.

16. It was seriously creepy
Although I wouldn't really describe it as horror or gore. Just disturbing.

18. No, it's not horror or gore, and I didn't say it was.
I simply said that fans of horror and/or gore would appreciate it.

8. It's my #5 anime series.
In order, I liked Trigun, Gungrave, Rurouni Kenshin (2nd arc), and Cowboy Bebop better.

10. Waitaminnit, you'd put Trigun above Bebop and Champloo?
Die, heathen scum!

12. Are you fucking kidding me?!?!?!?!
I'd put Trigun above everything including 90% of all live action movies and TV series. The writing is unbelievably well done. The sheer amount of symbolism, foreshadowing, and allusions are incredible, not even accounting for a very well written story and great characters. Only Gungrave comes close, but it starts a bit too slow, giving Trigun the nod.

Bebop and Champloo can't even begin to compete, just on the basis that they're extremely episodic. You don't have to watch the episodes in order at all to understand what's going on because there's so little on-going plot. They're fun to watch, no doubt, but to be the best, you've got to have a lot more than that.

14. Trigun has it's serious moments, but it's mostly kiddie fare...
…in my opinion.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is the greatest, and I will personally kill anyone who says different.

15. Clearly you haven't seen the whole thing.
The last 4 episodes are as dark as the first 4 are light.

17. Yeah, I have.
And the ending doesn't make up for the rest of the series.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun show if you just wanna turn your brain off, laugh a bit, and watch stuff blow up, but it doesn't deserve to be called the best. It doesn't hold a candle to Samurai Champloo much less Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
