Who wants to run away to some warm climate with me?
It's so cold and blustery here today. The rain is almost solid, but not quite. It does hurt when it hits you though.

Nice guys are ignored. Women instinctively prefer aggression. Enough tv shows prove that too. Except the rape ones, there's always a point where there's too much to be tolerated.

74. Hey, I grew up on Guam....
About 85 degrees every day of the year, every day about the same length (14 degrees from the equator you know). Only prob was the 90% humidity EVERY day. If you want to go there, I'll go too. Family there. I'll introduce you. If you want a job in the govt, I can get it for you (connections- esp. in education and land management). Be ready for an island paradise with lots of govt corruption! Really high prices (everything, and I mean everything, imported by ship)! But, the people are great- accepting and loving (just don't be a haole who loudly proclaims everything is better in the states!) Go to fiestas sponsored by people you don't know and walk away with piles of food (or else insult the host!). Swim in warm waters and see exotic fish (that haven't been killed by the US Navy either releasing toxic waste or blowing up the reef)! Enjoy cultures from all over the East- Samoans, Trukese, Pohnepeiians (women with no shirts slathered in cocoanut oil dancing in the mall!), Japanese, Chinese, Indonesians, Indians, Palauans and much much more! Wonder at the rude US military guys making fun of the islanders!!

90. Look into it, you may like it...
There is a great need for intelligent people on Guam, they have been experiencing a brain drain for the last 15 years or so. The best and brightest come to the states for college and stay (guess that's why I haven't gone back). There are some moves to turn things around- a move to start the Chinese tourists coming as opposed to only Japanese tourists (hampered by a recession). If you are interested in Guam, check out
http://www.guam-online.com/
http://www.guam.net/home/tropics/ (although I remember nicer beaches than this- ahhhh, I recall midnight cookouts on the beach in Tumon, floating on my back in the warm shallow waters while seeing the multitude of stars above and smelling the yummy bbq from the beach where my step-father cooked chicken)

http://www.holani.com/GuamPhotos.htm Check out the photos of Guam, where America's day begins! Keep in mind it's a US territory, just like Puerto Rico! It's a part of the US, Americans have all the same rights there (except being able to vote for Pres, but you don't really do that here anyway if the vote is fixed!). Ahhhh, the picture of Orote point brings back memories.... gorgeous hike to get there through untouched jungle filled with monitor lizards and other wildlife, swimming with the reef fish, the balate (sea cucumbers), the corals, nearly being swept over the reef by the tides, the warm waters with dappled sun....

Don't believe the "snake" stories about Guam!!! I lived there half my life and only saw three snakes. My Chamorru stepfather quickly dealt with them using the Chammoru "whipsnap" move!

85. Me me me
My body hates this weather. Funny yahoo radio just started playing Bruce Springsteen's "Waitting on a Sunny Day" as I printed this. It must be an omen from the Boss himself.

97. Hace mucho calor en mis manos, como lava.
You know what they say,

Mano fría,
Amor por un día
Mano caliente,
Amor para siempre.

These and other such words I promise you in the tropical paradises around the world. It doesn't snow there unless Yellowstone goes supervolcano.

Fresh coconuts.

Mangos, huge and juicy.

O, ven
¡ven tú!
