1. I like the Weather Apocalypse.
This is Milwaukee.

It snows here.

And yet -- if snow's in the forecast, they're in full-on apocalypse mode, with reporters checking in from New Berlin, Port Washington and "the East Side" (if there's going to be more than 4 inches and thus parking will be disrupted) or "the South Side."

6. Great list- Mine is the stock "Mine tragedy" shot, it is a drug tunnel
I kid you not. The local NBC station (Richmond Va) used it for all the recent coal mine tragedies. I was sitting there and saw it and backed up the digital TV feed and yep sure enough it was a shot of a dirt tunnel with a wire running into it with one bare lightbulb hanging there.

11. Another-The "Circuit City guy"
a few years ago they had a massive one day firing at Circuit City. Basically they had cardborad boxes and tissues positioned all over the place and they took groups of people into meeting rooms and fired either the whole department or actually told some people they were fired and others to stay. As you can imagine is was very stressful.

Well the local TV crews got wind of it and ran out to set up for the reporting. They all were kept at a distance but they all got a shot of this one young guy walking out carrying one single cardboard box. Everytime that day was alluded to on any local station that guy was on air again so that everyone could see him and know that he was fired. He thus became known as "The Circuit City guy".
