Help! Please!
Here's my assignment:

Section One:

Write a personal mission statement.
What, for you, is “virtue”. Well-being. Arête etc.
Be specific. Unpack this. As fully as possible.
How do these virtues, embolden your “mission.”
What is your focus. What do you envision?
Encorporate what we have discussed about mission statements, in your own.

Section Two:

A. Professional Code. B. Corporate Mission. (or vice versa).
Personalized, by you. These are your professional frameworks/contexts.
Put in your own words. It is you, who choose to live them (or not).
Note: Your personal and professional and corporate codes should support one another.
Key: Integrity.

A: Professional Code. (You may, if you wish, discuss corporate mission before professional code.).

Choose your profession.
Locate a reputable, legitimate outline, of this professional code.
Print it out. (If it is manageable. If not, print out parts relevant to your focus).
Suggestion: You might ask professor in your area, for a reputable site.
Generally, each profession has a collegial body, or professional organization where such things are noted and discussed.
For example: Professors: American Association of University Professors.
Accountants, Actors. Journalists etc. all have these sorts of things.
Choose yours.

You may need to specialize beyond this.

For example: I am a religion professor. The professional organization relevant to me: The American Academy of Religion.

Focus on what is important to you, in this code. Put it in your own words. Unpack/discuss it. Make it come alive.

Corporate/Company Mission.

Choose your dream job.
Where is this?
What is this company’s vision? Understanding of itself?
How are mission and purpose entwined for these folk?
What does this mean, for you?
What does virtue, arête and well-being look like?
How is this context supportive/encouraging to you?

Section Three. Religious Framework and Intersections..

Choose personal or family’s faith tradition.
You may choose another, if you wish.
Look up this tradition’s position regarding business and business ethics..
For example, the American Council of Rabbis, The US Catholic Bishops, The Evangelical Lutheran Council etc., all these faith traditions have official positions and teaching regarding business and business ethics. (John Paul II, Centessimus
Using a tradition connected to you personally, allows you to see yourself in relation to it. To see resources, and to see where you perhaps differ—and most importantly, to see why you differ. To make some choices (after all, this is what conscience is for).
You may, of course, use a tradition other than your own or your family’s heritage.
Be sure to answer the following:

What are the virtues and values targeted by this official religious body? Note and explain them.

What are the contemporary problems targetted? How are they addressed positively?

What do you think about these values? Do they conflict with professional role and integrity? Do they embolden them? Why do you say what you say? Be specific.

Does this official religious perspective mediate between the professional individual and his/her professional context/community? If so, how. If not, what does it do?

In other words, how do these moral codes and perspectives support one another? That is, how do they combine, supporting you, in being “virtuous.” In being a person of integrity?

Suggestion: Please take time and research this section. I am not asking for a major report. However, I am not asking you to put your feet up and rely on your memory of your hometown pastor’s point of view, or of your mom’s. I am asking for what is out there, formal, as a code. And then, how you would personalize it. Understand it. Live it. And why.

My question is: :wtf: does this *mean*? Help, please! This is due tomorrow at 5PM! :scared:
