7. Then I cannot answer
Waters' lyrics make me think, and feel, like no others. But Gilmour is an instrumental god, and no slouch as a lyricist himself.

12. I know that it's heresy, but I actually find Barrett's work to be just...
too twee...and "oh so quaintly English" No thanks.
I think their best work is post-Syd pre-"Dark Side of the Moon"

4. Can I wait until "On An Island" is out tomorrow before I answer?
I really like Roger Waters' solo albums (The Pros & Cons Of Hitchhiking and Amused To Death), but I havent heard any of Gilmour's solo albums yet. That will change tomorrow!

10. The poll was inspired by seeing the title track on VH2
(Ok, VH1 Classic, but VH2 makes ever so much more sense.) I was a little surprised to hear and see Crosby and Nash with Gilmour. Sounded like a pretty good record.

11. A couple of years ago, my wife saw some early footage of Gilmour...
and exclaimed, "Damn, he was good looking! I can't believe he turned into that pudding-faced yob"
